Treatments
Glucocorticoid Injections
Glucocorticoid is a medicine used to treat various skin conditions including keloid scars, alopecia, lichen simplex eczema, etc.
The steroid solution showed a great efficacy to improve the appearance of keloids. It has been also used for decades to treat moderate hair loss and it has shown to be an effective means to reduce symptoms of lichen simplex.
Our dermatological medical consultants will be able to diagnose and carry out the necessary treatment for the above conditions.
Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy or freezing with liquid nitrogen can safely remove actinic keratoses, viral warts, skin tags and seborrheic keratosis and is regarded one of the most reliable methods of removing those types of skin lesions.
In our clinic we offer a quick cryotherapy treatment to freeze non-cancerous skin lumps and growths as well as precancerous actinic keratosis lesions and resistant to treatment dermatitis such as nodular prurigo.
Both a consultation and a procedure are carried out by a highly-qualified dermatological consultant.
Injectables
Our experienced dermatologists use injectables to treat hair loss, eczema, psoriasis and hyperhidrosis.
The neuromodulating medications used in the clinic have been proved to be effective for hereditary type of hair loss and hyperhidrosis. Cambridge Dermatology Clinic also offers most advanced treatment for atopic dermatitis - Tralokinumab injection as well as biologic injections for psoriasis.
We also offer the injectables for resistant to treatment alopecia areata and keloid scars.
Photodynamic Therapy
In our clinic, we offer cutting-edge Light PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) treatment as a highly effective solution for various skin conditions. This non-invasive procedure harnesses the power of light and a specialised photosensitizing agent to target and eliminate skin issues such as acne, sun damage, and pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions. Our skilled medical professionals administer this treatment with precision and care, ensuring minimal discomfort and downtime for our patients. Light PDT is a safe and innovative approach that rejuvenates and restores skin health, leaving our clients with a renewed and radiant complexion.
PDT is licensed to treat actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous sun-related skin lesions, also known as solar keratoses), Bowen’s disease (a very early skin cancer) and basal cell carcinoma (the most common skin cancer). PDT also shows promise in treating acne and viral warts.
Daylight PDT is a convenient and effective treatment for actinic keratoses administered in the spring and summer. Lamp PDT (also known as conventional PDT) allows treatment of actinic keratoses in any weather, all year round and is also a good alternative to treat basal cell carcinomas without surgery. Both daylight and lamp PDT are available in the Cambridge Dermatology Clinic.
